In New Aircraft

In a massive commitment to its future growth and success, THAI has placed orders, for a total of 22 new aircraft, with Airbus Industrial and Boeing. This unprecedented fleet expansion is projected to support the airline’s dynamic plans for route and capacity development over the coming decade.

Airbus A340-500 & A340-600

Ten of these superb long-range aircraft will be joining THAI’ s fleet, of which the first two series 500 and two series 600 will start in service next summer, 2005. The A340-500s have been designed and built to deliver the highest possible standards of comfort and in-flight service over non-stop, long distance routes such as Thailand-North America.

Airbus A380

THAI has ordered six if this revolutionary super-jumbo jet, which will become the largest-ever passenger aircraft when it enters service. Transporting up to 550 passengers, it will be invaluable for THAI’ s projected plans to expand capacity over high-demand intercontinental and regional trunk routes.

Boeing 777-200

With six of this versatile aircraft already operating in THAI’ s fleet, the addition of the six more now on order will enable THAI to expand capacity over routes offering high passenger growth potential, and to inaugurate new destinations during the coming years
